About the position

Infosys is seeking a Java Developer who will play a crucial role in interfacing with key stakeholders and applying technical proficiency across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This includes engaging in Requirements Elicitation and Design, where the Java Developer will contribute significantly to creating high-level design artifacts. The position demands delivering high-quality code and supporting peers in quality checks to ensure that design requirements are met effectively. Additionally, the Java Developer will be responsible for creating user documentation for assigned sub-modules, which is essential for maintaining clarity and usability of the software developed. In this role, the Java Developer will also perform root-cause analysis of any issues that arise post-implementation. This involves identifying the underlying causes of problems and working on solutions related to issue fixing, ensuring that the software remains functional and efficient. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of software quality throughout the development process.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 2 years of relevant Information Technology experience.
  • U.S. Citizens or those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 1 year of experience with Java / J2EE and related frameworks.
  • Ability to create Design Documents addressing business requirements and gap analysis.
  • Good understanding of Rest API services.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and Unix.
