About the position

The Java Full Stack Developer role is focused on the design, development, and implementation of software systems primarily in the banking industry. The position requires a strong background in Java and related technologies, with an emphasis on cloud services and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development and a proven track record in the banking sector, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, document, implement, and test software systems in Java and related technologies.
• Work with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks to build robust applications.
• Utilize AWS services such as EMR, Batch, ECS, RDS, Lambda, and Aurora for cloud-based solutions.
• Develop microservices architecture to enhance application scalability and performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using tools like CloudWatch, Kafka, and Splunk.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT experience in software analysis, design, development, documentation, implementation, and testing.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring, and J2EE application servers on Red Hat Linux, UNIX, or AIX.
• Proven experience in the banking industry.
• Proficiency in AWS services including EMR, Batch, ECS, RDS, Lambda, and Aurora.
• Experience with microservices architecture and related technologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Splunk.
• Knowledge of version control systems like GitHub.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Python is preferred but not mandatory.
• Former candidates from Capital One are preferred but not required.
