About the position

The Java Full Stack Developer position at Verizon is a key role within the Global Technology Solutions team, specifically in the Marketing & Home Division. This position focuses on developing customer-centric software solutions that enhance the Verizon brand and drive revenue growth. The developer will lead a cross-functional team in creating and maintaining applications, ensuring high-quality software development and architectural design. The role requires collaboration with various teams and a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end solutions to enhance customer experience and drive revenue growth.
• Lead a cross-functional team in the development of VCG-Marketing & Home applications.
• Oversee the design and development of complex initiatives within the Marketing & Home product space.
• Participate in evaluating technical feasibility, risks, and requirements change management.
• Define technology architecture in line with the customer's enterprise architecture and technology roadmap.
• Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to illustrate programming steps.
• Design reusable, scalable, and high-performance application features and components.
• Manage Epics, Sprints, stories, dashboards, kanban boards, and bugs on Jira.
• Work on security features of the system and define CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
• Build and develop web components using React Framework and cloud-native microservices using Reactive Java and Spring Boot.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Java, Microservices, SOAP, REST API.
• Experience with Reactive Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Integration Frameworks.
• Experience with MVC, React JS, Angular, or other front-end technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Release Management.

Nice-to-haves

• A degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with Cassandra/Oracle, GraphQL, Shell Script, Redis caching.
• Experience with Tomcat, IntelliJ, Eclipse, MS Visual Studio Code.
• Knowledge of E-Commerce web ordering solutions integrated with payment platforms.
• Experience with SoapUI, Postman, Junit, Progression & Regression Testing.
• Experience with CJCM / Pega Case Management.
• Experience with ELK (Elasticsearch, Kibana logs).
• Experience with SonarQube, Grafana, and Docker Containerization.
• Experience with JIRA Dashboard for defect tracking and scrum reporting.
• Experience with Blackduck for vulnerability analysis.
• Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
