About the position

Cognizant is seeking a Java Full Stack Solutions Architect to work remotely, collaborating with data and project managers to understand system requirements and consult with subject matter experts. The role involves designing and developing complex systems, improving existing software, and managing technical issues in a business environment. The architect will also be responsible for creating reference architectures for enterprise-scale applications and implementing best practices in cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Understand low-level design and develop medium to highly complex systems.
• Work with data and project managers to understand systems and consult with subject matter experts.
• Develop and implement new systems, correct software errors, and improve performance through hardware upgrades.
• Manage computer systems in a business environment and resolve technical issues.
• Provide application-level technical design and define non-functional requirements.
• Design based on scalability, availability, and performance parameters.
• Own design and development of applications end-to-end, from UI to backend.

Requirements

• Minimum of 16+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficient in .Net Stream, C# or VB.Net, and .Net framework fundamentals.
• Experience with Web API, WCF, Workflow, MSMQ, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of Java (1.6 and above), JSP, Servlets, Struts, Spring, and ORM concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with MEAN Stack/React Stream, including ECMA Script, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript concepts.
• Working knowledge of databases and RDBMS like SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.
