About the position

As a Java Fullstack Developer, you will lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects while managing a team of developers who possess extensive experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems. Your primary responsibility will be to create innovative solutions that address the regulatory needs of the company. You will be expected to share your enthusiasm for technology by staying updated on the latest trends, experimenting with new technologies, and actively participating in both internal and external technology communities. Mentoring fellow engineers will also be a key aspect of your role, and there may be occasions where you will be asked to write or evaluate code yourself. Collaboration will be essential in this position, as you will work closely with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences and empower millions of Americans financially. You will utilize a variety of programming languages and technologies, including JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go. Additionally, you will work with both open source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as container orchestration services such as Docker and Kubernetes, alongside a range of AWS tools and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• 9+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
• 4+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
