About the position

The Java/GCP Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and management of existing Azure applications and infrastructure components. This role involves working on the Google Cloud Platform migration for Event Router and Geofence Platform applications, collaborating with product teams to deliver high-quality software products that meet Ford's standards. The engineer will support connected vehicle programs using Java technologies and cloud computing, ensuring innovative technology solutions are effectively implemented.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and develop existing Azure applications and infrastructure components.
• Work on Google Cloud Platform migration for Event Router and Geofence Platform applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, product managers, and other software engineers to deliver quality software products.
• Support current and future connected vehicle programs using Java technologies and Google Cloud Platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 7 years of overall software development experience.
• 5 years of experience with Java technologies.
• 3 years of experience in cloud computing and IoT implementation.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
