About the position

We are seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer/Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality software applications and solutions using Java and related technologies. This role involves working on a product team, supporting product design, planning work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver functionality for the complete product or products it supports.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software applications and solutions using Java and related technologies.
• Work on a product team to support product design and functionality.
• Plan work and coordinate with team members to ensure project success.
• Write and test code to deliver functionality for the products supported.
• Manage competing priorities and requests in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in programming/software development with a focus on Java (90%), NodeJS (8%), and Scala (2%).
• 3 years of experience in product design, testing, and/or analysis.
• 3 years of experience hosting services in AWS cloud technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with tact and negotiation abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience with AWS (Preferred)
• 1 year of experience with ASP.NET (Preferred)
• 1 year of experience with APIs (Preferred)
• Ability to commute to Urbandale, IA 50322 (Preferred)
• Willingness to relocate to Urbandale, IA 50322 before starting work (Required)

Benefits

• Contract position with pay ranging from $55.00 to $62.00 per hour.
• Expected hours of 40 per week with flexible scheduling options including day shift, evening shift, and night shift.
