About the position

The Java Kafka Developer position is focused on the design and development of enterprise applications using Java and related technologies. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Java, particularly in the context of Kafka, and involves working collaboratively within distributed teams. The developer will be responsible for creating business modules independently and may interact directly with business users to enhance the platform in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise applications using Java and Kafka.
• Design and develop business modules independently using J2EE and related frameworks.
• Ensure strong understanding of standard development practices and implementation strategies.
• Engage in server-side coding and design principles, including RESTful communication with UI frameworks and databases.
• Interact with business users to demonstrate and improve the platform.
• Work as part of distributed teams, requiring strong communication and time management skills.

Requirements

• 8 years of hands-on experience in design and development of enterprise-grade software using Java J2EE technologies.
• Strong experience in Core Java development.
• Experience with front-end technologies like Angular or React and Java frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of OOP concepts, Servlets, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services and Oracle database.
• Good understanding of RDBMS concepts and experience with any database.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, IBM MQ, or Kafka is a plus.
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven and Ant, and SDLC tools such as Sonar and Jenkins.

Nice-to-haves

• Industry-standard Java certification is a definite plus.
• Knowledge of UI technologies is an added advantage.
