About the position

The Java Lead Developer will be responsible for leading technical projects and initiatives, focusing on full-stack development using Java, Spring Boot, and React. This role requires strong leadership skills to mentor a team of developers while also being adaptable to work on both legacy and modern applications. The position is hybrid, requiring three days onsite and two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderately complex projects and initiatives, contributing to large-scale planning and strategy within the technical domain.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and document software applications, including upgrades and deployments, using Java, Spring Boot, React, and jQuery.
• Review and resolve moderately complex technical challenges, evaluating technologies and procedures.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical issues and achieve project goals.
• Act as an escalation point and provide guidance and direction to less experienced team members.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Software Engineering experience, with at least a few years in a lead or senior role.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, jQuery, React, and SQL.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor less experienced team members.
• Solid understanding of relevant function policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
