About the position

Infosys is seeking Java Microservices Developers to engage with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. The role involves building high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems, creating high-level design artifacts, and delivering high-quality code. The position emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and a culture of learning, where diversity is respected and valued.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with key stakeholders to gather requirements and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Build high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems with a focus on application architecture, definition, and design.
  • Create high-level design artifacts and deliver high-quality code deliverables.
  • Participate in a learning culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Hands-on experience in Java 8, REST, Springboot, Microservices, Kafka or MQ, and OpenShift deployments.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 4 years of experience in Java hands-on development.
  • Experience with Spring Security, JPA, XML, XSLT, JAXB, JAXP, MVC, and various design patterns.
  • Experience in Agile, Scrum, and/or Test-Driven Development environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern application architecture and practical experience with Microservices frameworks like Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Cloud Native Applications Development and API design.
  • Some experience with DevOps practices such as Pipelines and CI/CD tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
