About the position

The Java MS Developer position at NTT DATA involves developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems using Java and Spring Boot. This role is crucial for collaborating with QA Analysts and Software Developers to deliver high-quality solutions within a scrum team environment. The position requires onsite presence three days a week in Irving, Texas, and is offered for a duration of 12 months at a pay rate of $53/hour W2.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems
• Write clean, efficient code using Java & Spring Boot
• Collaborate with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions
• Work along with a larger scrum team to deliver assigned stories
• Develop and document the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards
• Design reusable frameworks - Environment management and layout design
• Mentor junior team members and support interviews/evaluations

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java, Maven/Gradle, Spring Boot, Scrum, JIRA, GitHub/Bitbucket, Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE
• Cloud exposure (AWS or Azure)
• Knowledge of PAAS tools (OpenShift or PCF)
• Good understanding of the SDLC process
• Experience working in repositories like Git or Bitbucket
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working as part of a scrum team
• Good understanding of the DevOps pipeline
• Experience setting up Continuous Deployment/Continuous Integration (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience in solving technical issues with thorough research and investigation
• Working knowledge of testing tools like TestNG or Selenium

• Working knowledge in any of the Cloud
