About the position

The Java NodeJS Developer position is a long-term contract role based in Woodland Hills, LA, focusing on developing applications using Node.js and JavaScript. The role requires a strong understanding of asynchronous programming, server-side templating, and integration of various data sources. The developer will work in a hybrid environment, contributing to both front-end and back-end development tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications using Node.js and JavaScript.
• Implement user authentication and authorization across multiple systems.
• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into a unified system.
• Understand and apply fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
• Optimize applications for different delivery platforms, including mobile and desktop.
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Utilize code versioning tools, such as Git.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks.
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages and CSS preprocessors.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with user authentication and authorization.
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases.
• Understanding of design principles for scalable applications.
• Familiarity with differences between mobile and desktop platforms.
