About the position

DTS is seeking an experienced Java React Developer for a DirectClient position based in Lansing, MI. The role involves supporting the MDOT Development program, focusing on developing and maintaining reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust. The developer will collaborate with project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts, ensuring compliance with ADA and WCAG 2.1 standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the MDOT Development program as a frontend developer.
• Work with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts.
• Develop and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust.
• Test all development for accessibility using Jaws reader and multiple browser plugins.

Requirements

• Strong background with React.js (5 years required).
• Experience with HTML5 and CSS Frameworks (5 years required).
• Strong knowledge of ADA, WCAG 2.1, Section 508 compliance policies, and User Experience design principles (5 years required).
• Experience with current JAVA, including relevant IDE tools such as Eclipse/Jboss Developer Studio (3 years required).
• Experience programming in projects using JPA framework (2 years required).
• Experience programming in projects using current Spring framework (2 years required).
• Experience programming with Spring Boot and Spring Data (2 years required).
• Experience programming with Java 8+ (3 years required).
• Experience participating as a programmer within an Agile development environment (2 years required).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience programming in the JBOSS Enterprise environment (2 years desired).
