About the position

The IT Analyst II position focuses on the modernization of the WaterLink application for the Division of Drinking Water (DDW) within the State of Utah. The role involves developing a new web application using NodeJS and ReactJS, integrating it with the existing legacy system, and ensuring a seamless transition for users. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to government policies while working in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop enhanced user management and portal access features.
• Create a modern, responsive landing page using ReactJS.
• Integrate navigation styles between the legacy and new systems.
• Develop and deploy specific modules for data and reporting functionality.
• Conduct code integration and testing to ensure seamless operation between systems.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for future maintenance.
• Fix bugs and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Proficiency in NodeJS and ReactJS development.
• Experience with serverless technology and cloud services.
• Strong understanding of user authentication and role-based access controls.
• Ability to conduct usability testing and ensure intuitive navigation.
• Experience with unit and integration testing of web applications.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
