About the position

We are seeking a JavaScript developer with a strong background in front-end development to join our team in downtown Chicago. This role involves collaborating with the back-end team to design and plan a complex data management system, as well as customizing features of the company website built in WordPress. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in JavaScript and familiarity with various web application frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the back-end team to design and plan a complex data management system.
• Customize features and functions of the company website built in WordPress.
• Utilize JavaScript and front-end frameworks to develop web applications.
• Maintain and improve existing codebase using best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of JavaScript experience.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of HTML & CSS.
• Experience with Angular JS and/or Ember or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with GIT or a similar repository.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Open Source experience specifically with PHP and MySQL.
