Amentum is currently seeking a JavaScript Developer to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This program encompasses a workforce of over 500 individuals providing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across various facilities and locations, catering to both classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems. As a JavaScript Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing high-performance web applications utilizing JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, and Node.js. You will collaborate closely with customers and end-users to define and document application requirements, ensuring that the final product meets their needs and expectations. Your responsibilities will include testing, debugging, and refactoring both frontend and backend web application code. You will be tasked with translating detailed designs into functional application systems, rigorously testing and refining applications to produce the required product. Additionally, you will prepare necessary documentation, which includes both program-level and user-level documentation, to facilitate user understanding and application usage. Enhancing applications to improve performance and add new functionalities will also be part of your role. Moreover, you will provide interactive issue troubleshooting, managing user issue tickets through to resolution. This involves documenting resolutions in a knowledge base and collaborating with application and system owners to identify advanced solutions. The position requires a strong foundation in software engineering best practices and familiarity with various operating systems, including Linux, Mac, and MS-Windows. You will also engage with automation, orchestration, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes, utilizing tools such as Docker and GitLab CI, and working within a dynamic environment that encourages continuous improvement of processes and skills.
