The NISC IV program has an opening for a remote JavaScript Developer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position involves providing facility and program support services to the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) Office of Facility Management (AMP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced JavaScript programming techniques and will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications that meet the needs of the FAA. In this role, the developer will be expected to demonstrate familiarity with HTML and XML, as well as a solid understanding of programming concepts such as common data structures and algorithms, programming logic, data validation, and user interface design. A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance is essential, as is the ability to capture and document business processes from non-technical personnel while identifying user needs and system requirements. The candidate will analyze business requirements against existing system functionality to determine solutions within commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, requiring minimal customization. Strong organizational skills and a solid work ethic are necessary, as the developer will need to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Additionally, the role requires strong analytical skills and proven problem-solving abilities, as well as experience in providing user support and troubleshooting system problems.
