About the position

The Senior JavaScript/Front End Developer will be responsible for designing and developing the graphical user interface (GUI) of web applications. This role focuses on creating intuitive and user-friendly GUI designs, developing UI screens, and ensuring integration with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) components. The position also involves creating mockups and UI prototypes while adhering to Section 508 compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the graphical user interface (GUI) of web applications.
• Create intuitive and easy-to-use GUI designs and UI screens.
• Integrate UI components with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE).
• Develop mockups and UI prototypes that are Section 508 compliant.
• Collaborate with end users and development team members to gather requirements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement innovative UI for websites and web applications.
• Optimize web application front ends for performance.
• Participate in the design, development, and integration of new UI functionality.

Requirements

• Strong experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and AJAX technologies for enterprise web applications.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks such as DOJO, Dojo widget, Dojo Toolkit, and JQuery.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Experience designing and developing browser-independent web applications.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit and mocking techniques.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in developing 508 compliant user interfaces.
