About the position

CEVA Logistics is seeking a skilled Java Software Developer to join our Data & Digital group. In this role, you will be the key IT resource responsible for driving technology solutions delivered to our customers. You will collaborate closely with the Solution Lead, architects, product teams, and both internal and external customers to ensure the successful delivery of promised solutions. This position can be based in either Houston, US, or Marseille, France. As a Java Software Developer, you will engage in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), actively participating in project stage gate reviews and providing necessary input. Your responsibilities will include driving various activities during the implementation of new solutions, ensuring that User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is effectively planned and executed, and producing training materials in compliance with CEVA standards. You will also support post-launch activities and provide continuous improvement recommendations to ensure the solutions remain viable in CEVA's dynamic business environment. Additionally, you will play a mentoring role, guiding and developing other team members through training and knowledge transfer. Responsibilities

  • Develop Digital and Data solutions in collaboration with the Product Owner and other IT team members.
  • Participate in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Drive activities during the implementation of new solutions as assigned.
  • Plan, staff, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) successfully.
  • Produce systems training materials in compliance with CEVA standards.
  • Provide systems training to users as needed.
  • Support post-launch activities and provide continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Mentor and guide other team members, including training and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in the logistics industry.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Developer within a software development team.
  • Knowledge or experience in project management tools and business acumen.
  • Solid knowledge of applications and implementing logistics technologies.
  • Proven experience as a technology analyst with expertise in analyzing data in multiple formats.
  • Knowledgeable in Agile methodology.
  • Ability to query data using SQL, with advanced query writing skills desirable.
  • Technical skills in Core Java (JDK 8 and above) and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Jenkins; experience with Junit, Kubernetes, and GIT are a plus.
  • Experience in Cassandra is a plus.
  • Ability to translate technical terms to operational teams and vice versa.
  • Ability to perform technical analysis and produce effective business requirements documentation.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
