The position involves participating in the ongoing development of a Laboratory Information Management System for sample tracking, meta-data recording, and flow control for a clinical laboratory and high-throughput DNA sequencing facility. The role requires working with management and staff to understand laboratory workflows and define requirements to facilitate sample receipt, processing, location management, and delivery documentation. Responsibilities include optimizing workflows to improve efficiency, fault tolerance, and error trapping/recovery, collaborating with team members on requirements analysis, design, configuration, change and risk management, documentation, planning, accessibility remediation and compliance, and security and quality assurance. The candidate will also participate in prototyping and testing of new software, prepare documentation, provide end-user training and support, and establish productive working relationships with teammates and end-users.
