About the position

Infosys is seeking a Java/Springboot Lead Developer who will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and coordinating day-to-day deliverables for the development team. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the technical design of large business systems, which includes building applications and creating interfaces between various applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data security, retention, and recovery processes. This role requires the ability to independently research technologies to recommend appropriate solutions and contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. The candidate will also be responsible for contributing to the success criteria from design through deployment, ensuring aspects such as reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability are met. Additionally, the lead developer will provide expertise on significant application components, programming languages, databases, and operating systems, while guiding and mentoring the team during the build and test phases. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the team.
  • Assist in the technical design of large business systems.
  • Build applications and create interfaces between applications.
  • Understand data security, retention, and recovery processes.
  • Research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
  • Ensure success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Provide expertise on significant application components, programming languages, databases, and operating systems.
  • Guide and mentor the team during the build and test phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Experience in Java, REST, Springboot, Microservices, Spring Security, XML, XSLT, JAXB, JAXP, MVC, and various design patterns.
  • Experience in remediation of vulnerability issues.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum and DevOps CI-CD pipeline.
  • Experience in Dynatrace and Splunk.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge in Hyperscalers, SRE, and automation for Hyperscalers.
  • Experience in patch management automation.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the software development life cycle.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project life cycle activities on development and maintenance/production support projects.
  • At least 2 years of experience in design and architecture review.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
  • Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
