About the position

The Java Tech Lead/Architect position is focused on leading the migration of a financial instruments trading legacy mainframe system to a new, highly-scalable platform. This role involves reengineering existing applications and introducing an application interface layer to facilitate data queries from third-party applications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in both the technical and architectural aspects of the project, ensuring high-quality code and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write clean code
• Cover own code with tests
• Participate in backlog refinement, planning and demos
• Perform code reviews
• Clarify the requirements with stakeholders
• Participate in solution architecture design and implementation

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Core Java, Spring, Hibernate/myBatis, Maven
• Data analysis and production troubleshooting skills
• Experience with CI tools like Jenkins/TeamCity and git
• Strong development and architectural experience

Nice-to-haves

• Jasper Reports experience
• Full-stack experience: Java + React
• Ability and desire to take technical leadership
• Ability to mentor and supervise junior employees
• Unit-testing experience
• Ability to write clean self-describing code
