About the position

Luxoft is seeking a React Developer to work closely with a major investment management client in Southern California. The role involves full-stack development, primarily using Java and React, as part of a SCRUM team focused on upgrading the client's technology infrastructure. The developer will be responsible for understanding requirements, providing recommendations, and ensuring best practices in code development.

Responsibilities

• Work in a SCRUM team, collaborating with the client and business analysts to understand new requirements and identify necessary system changes.
• Develop and present recommendations based on analysis of the current solution.
• Assist in code peer reviews and build and test functional enhancements.
• Identify areas for code refactoring and contribute to the development process for continual improvement.
• Responsible for full-stack development of Java and React code to meet specifications and designs using best practices.
• Estimate effort and breakdown tasks for implementing new changes while identifying risks.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript programming language.
• Broad experience with modern JS frameworks, particularly React.
• Strong experience with open source tools for charting and handling large data sets.
• Experience with AWS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Angular and jQuery.
