About the position

We are seeking a seasoned Full Stack Java Developer to contribute to a high-profile regulatory project in the investment banking domain. The role involves developing and maintaining scalable Java applications while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Java, experience in web development using Angular or React, and a background in financial services, particularly in regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable and robust Java applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards within the investment banking domain.
  • Design and implement user interface components and web applications using Angular or React.
  • Employ Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate for server-side development and business logic implementation.
  • Integrate with distributed storage systems including DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, and MongoDB, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, emphasizing strong code quality, software design, and architectural practices.
  • Work within continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, utilizing Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Apply a working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments to the development and deployment process.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, quality assurance, and IT operations to meet project deadlines and requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry best practices to ensure our systems reflect the cutting-edge in regulatory compliance technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with strong programming skills in Java and familiarity with object-oriented design principles.
  • Extensive experience with web development frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Java frameworks like DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • Experience with distributed storage systems (e.g., DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB).
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools and practices, especially with Git.
  • Prior experience with Unix/Linux operating systems is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the investment banking industry and related regulatory compliance is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
