About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a JavaScript Developer for a contract position lasting through 12/31/2024. This role will be onsite with an insurance company located in Franklin, WI. The team consists of six members and focuses on API management, specifically engineering solutions around API security and discovery. The JavaScript Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing program units, as well as working on a Single Page Application (SPA) within a micro-app architecture environment. This position will also involve participating in the implementation of new systems or modifications to existing systems to meet both Information Systems and client business requirements. Additionally, the developer will be expected to prepare and update documentation as necessary, ensuring that all work aligns with web standards, best practices, and current trends in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and tests program units.
  • Works on SPA application in a micro-app architecture environment.
  • Participates in implementations of new systems or modifications to existing systems to meet Information Systems and client business requirements.
  • Prepares and updates documentation as appropriate.
  • Develops, debugs, and optimizes web applications.

Requirements

  • Significant JavaScript development experience within a major framework such as Vue, Angular 2+, or React.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JavaScript, ReactJS, Node.js, Jest, Java, and Python.
  • Experience with SASS and unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Tape.
  • Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and services such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or Circle CI.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of public cloud services and their interactions.
  • Familiarity with Docker and container usage.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required, with 3-5 years recommended.
