About the position

The Javascript Software Developer role at Amentum involves working within a cross-functional team to manage a large customer-facing data lake using the latest AWS developments. Developers will design and implement new features, optimize legacy systems, and contribute to the overall improvement of application processes. The position emphasizes collaboration while allowing for independent work, providing developers with the opportunity to make significant contributions to the system.

Responsibilities

• Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs follow specifications.
• Recommend changes to improve established application processes.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Develop application code programs.
• Develop and execute test plans, support formal testing and resolution of defects.
• Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure defects and questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years' experience, Associates degree plus 4 years' experience, or a minimum of 6 years of experience in a related field.
• At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in JavaScript or Python.
• Experience with REACT.
