About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled JD Edwards (JDE) Database Administrator and Orchestrations Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in database management, JDE orchestrations, and API integrations. This position is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and integrity of our JD Edwards systems, developing orchestrations to enhance business processes, and supporting API integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain JD Edwards databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize JDE orchestrations to streamline business processes and enhance user experience.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and support API integrations between JDE and other enterprise systems utilizing Postman.
  • Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Implement backup and recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues related to database access and performance.
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay current with JDE updates, enhancements, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a JD Edwards Database Administrator.
  • 2+ years of experience in JDE orchestrations development.
  • Experience with API development and integration (REST/SOAP).
  • Proficiency in Oracle databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards modules and functionality.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with data migration, ETL processes, and integrations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Functional analyst background is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in software development or related roles.
