Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. (JEI) is seeking a Corporate IT Business Analyst to join our corporate office in Lakewood, Colorado. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT services and support for corporate employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the service desk management, which includes resolving tier 1 and 2 support tickets while adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs). The Corporate IT Business Analyst will also lead the development and analysis of service desk reports, identifying anomalies and aging issues, and communicating findings to regional directors to recommend corrective actions. In addition to service desk management, the analyst will collaborate closely with the accounting department to maintain and optimize Great Plains users, reports, and server functions. Asset management is another critical responsibility, where the analyst will optimize cellular data plans, maintain company devices, and track computer equipment, printers, and workstations. The role also involves participating in audits by delivering required evidence for Great Plains and other documentation to satisfy audit and security requirements. The Corporate IT Business Analyst will identify opportunities for process improvement by studying current practices, designing modifications, and implementing improved procedures. Project support is also a key aspect of this role, where the analyst will define project requirements, monitor progress, and ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met. Documentation and training are essential, as the analyst will maintain up-to-date system protocols and procedures, prepare technical reports, and ensure continuous professional development through research and training.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and resolve tier 1 and 2 support tickets for corporate employees, ensuring adherence to published SLAs for communication and resolution.
  • Lead the development, generation, and analysis of service desk reports, identifying ticket anomalies and aging issues.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting to maintain and optimize Great Plains users, reports, and server functions.
  • Optimize cellular data plans and maintain company devices on cellular plan, track and maintain computer equipment, printers, workstations and other devices.
  • Deliver required evidence for Great Plains and other required documentation to satisfy audit and security requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes by studying current practices, designing modifications, and implementing improved procedures.
  • Define project requirements, monitor progress, and ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain up-to-date system protocols and procedures, prepare technical reports, and ensure continuous professional development through research and training.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with SQL reporting and data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly Great Plains.
  • Familiarity with IGT gaming applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Active Directory, Entra, Intune, and SCCM.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
  • Capable of providing technical support for a corporate environment, resolving tier 1 and 2 issues efficiently.
  • Experience in managing user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory environments.
  • Ability to prepare and organize evidence for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with IT policies.
  • Adept at troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, with a focus on improving system performance and reliability.
