Our client is currently seeking a JEMINI Network Engineer based out in Colorado Springs, CO. This position is focused on producing designs that include system, logical, and connectivity drawings using DoDAF standards. The network engineer will present these designs to various engineering review boards, ensuring that all aspects of the network design are thoroughly tested and validated. The role requires maintaining technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, which includes routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, and more. Additionally, the engineer will evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance the capabilities of the network, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with demonstrated experience in the design and execution of network configuration changes and documentation within a complex IT environment. This includes reviewing work products produced by a team of engineers for quality, completeness, and adherence to established procedures and policies. The position involves hands-on designing and troubleshooting networks, specifically utilizing Cisco and Fortinet technologies. Candidates should have at least 9 years of equivalent or relevant experience, including configuring Cisco and/or Juniper routers and switches, as well as troubleshooting routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP. Experience with firewall technologies is also essential. In addition to technical skills, the candidate must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, excellent customer interface skills, and the ability to learn quickly. The role requires the ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude. Experience with creating system-level and connectivity diagrams is a must. An active Secret Clearance is required prior to starting the position.
