About the position
The Shift Leader at Jersey Mike's Subs is responsible for supporting the management team in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high operational standards. This role involves overseeing a small team, ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies, while also providing opportunities for team members' career growth.
Responsibilities
- Support the management team in daily operations.
- Produce high-quality food and deliver the Jersey Mike's experience.
- Develop team members for career growth.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation practices.
- Communicate any issues to the management team.
- Work in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere.
- Provide exceptional customer experiences.
- Perform opening and closing tasks for the store.
- Manage and lead a crew of 2 to 5 people per shift.
Requirements
- 1 year of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience preferred.
- Valid ServSafe Certification - Food Handler is a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation.
