About the position

The position involves assisting in the maintenance of airport jet bridges and baggage delivery systems, as well as the installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of high and low voltage single and multi-phase lighting systems and components. The role requires performing a variety of technical tasks related to the assigned area of responsibility. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance of airport jet bridges and baggage delivery systems.
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of high and low voltage lighting systems and components.
  • Perform a variety of technical tasks related to assigned area responsibility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours vocational training in electronic or electrical systems installation, maintenance, or repair.
  • Two (2) years of electronic or electrical systems installation maintenance or repair experience.
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
  • Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
  • Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
  • Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.
