About the position

No.3 Fine Jewelry is looking for a skilled CAD Designer to create unique jewelry pieces using Matrix or Rhino. This part-time role emphasizes translating design concepts into functional jewelry while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and aesthetic quality.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative jewelry designs from concept to completion with minimal supervision, aligning with our artistic vision and processes.
• Interpret sketches and technical specifications to develop functional designs, ensuring quality and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate expertise in creating stone settings and mechanisms, including clasps, connections, and hinges.
• Provide realistic timelines for project completion; efficiently translate design concepts into tangible pieces within established deadlines.
• Apply knowledge of production techniques to build and split models for various manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of CAD experience specifically in jewelry design or a similar field.
• Strong understanding of jewelry production techniques and properties of precious metals.
• Proficient in Gemvision Matrix and/or Rhino.
• Competent in Google suite documents and communications; comfortable with standard office equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• A design portfolio showcasing previous work and creativity.
• Strong technical understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes.
• Innovative approach to design techniques.
• Efficient, organized, and punctual with deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with FormLabs 3D printer is a plus.
