About the position
Brewster USD 314 is looking for a JH/HS Science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. We are a 4-day school week with small class sizes and great families! Our building is PreK-12 so families enjoy having all their kids under the same roof with a daycare located on site. Coaching and sponsoring opportunities may be available as well. We are working on adding programs over the next several years to our student offerings. Brewster Tech began the Fall of 2024 with the addition of some career and tech ed classes and virtual offerings. Some classes include 3D printing and CNC machines, Data Analytics, and Construction trades. We are excited for these new opportunities for our students. Responsibilities
- Teach JH/HS Science classes
- Develop and implement lesson plans
- Assess and evaluate student progress
- Participate in school events and activities
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff
- Engage with parents and the community
Requirements
- Valid teaching license
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
- Passion for teaching and education
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in teaching science subjects
- Familiarity with technology in education
- Coaching or sponsoring experience
- Transition to Teaching certification
