The Busser at Jimmy's Pub, located within the Ojai Valley Inn, is a vital role responsible for providing exemplary service to guests dining at The Oak. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the overall dining experience, including greeting guests, presenting water, serving bread, clearing and resetting tables, refreshing drinks, and managing the setup and breakdown of the restaurant. The Busser is expected to remain constantly aware of the restaurant environment, engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and take initiative to improve their stay, all while adhering to the high standards set by the resort. To excel in this role, the Busser must possess a positive, outgoing, and friendly personality, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining calmness and poise. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2-3 years of food and beverage experience in an upscale establishment. The Busser must demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, and be able to perform basic mathematical computations. Additionally, the Busser should be able to work cohesively with other employees as part of a team and handle obstacles in a positive and professional manner. The Busser is also responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and behavior, ensuring adherence to the Ojai Valley Inn's standards of quality service. This includes following specific guidelines for presentation, body language, and verbiage. The role requires the ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, follow directions, and be active in safety and security protocols. The Busser must also be knowledgeable about the hotel's standards, policies, and procedures, and maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding guest information. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
