About the position

The Jira Administrator/Scrum Master at Austin Community College is responsible for installing, implementing, administering, and supporting Atlassian IT software applications that facilitate the college's administrative systems. This role also includes providing Scrum Master responsibilities within the IT department, ensuring effective project management and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, implement, administer, support, and maintain Atlassian third-party collegewide applications and Google apps for education.
• Monitor designated applications and take corrective action to prevent or minimize system downtime.
• Troubleshoot to resolve system-related problems and coordinate with relevant system administrators and/or third-party vendors regarding user support and problem resolution.
• Create user documentation and train personnel on new applications software.
• Assist with developing policies, procedures, programs, scripts, or webpages as required.
• Provide upper-level support to users having difficulties with applications.
• Collaborate on special projects and may track and allocate software licenses.
• Support and serve as a technical expert for ACC's in-house developed applications in all stages of development, testing, and production.
• Keep current with the latest technology and regularly attend technical training to maintain technical expertise.

Requirements

• Two years of related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in any field.

Nice-to-haves

• Two or more years of experience configuring and supporting Jira and associated Atlassian and third-party products like Confluence, Bit Bucket, BigPicture, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field.
