About the position

The JIRA Cloud Migration Specialist will manage and execute the migration of JIRA from on-premises data center environments to cloud-based solutions for a local client in Pittsburgh. This role requires expertise in JIRA architecture, migration strategies, and cloud technologies, along with strong project management skills to lead migrations from planning to completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the migration of JIRA from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Conduct thorough assessments of current environments and develop detailed migration plans.
• Handle data transfer, system configuration, and user setup.
• Ensure data security and compliance throughout the migration process.
• Perform rigorous testing to ensure data integrity and system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present to stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience in migrating JIRA from data center to cloud environments.
• 7 years of experience with data transfer, system configuration, and user setup.
• Deep understanding of JIRA architecture, migration strategies, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with tools like JSU, JMWE, eazyBI, and Assets.
• Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., Scriptrunner).
• Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting to stakeholders.
