About the position

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Jira Product Manager (Systems Administration, Senior Analyst) to support a Federal Government client in Charleston, SC. This role involves comprehensive administration of JIRA for a portfolio of software applications, focusing on optimizing business processes through configuration, maintenance, and user support. The position requires a hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days on-site in Rosslyn, VA, and may involve up to 10% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on configuring, managing, and maintaining the Jira instance.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure Jira configuration supports business processes.
• Analyze and document current functionality of Jira system configurations to identify areas for improvement.
• Gather requirements for new business processes and implement continuous improvements to the Jira instance.
• Provide training and support to Jira users, including conducting training sessions and creating user guides.
• Analyze complex problems and develop alternate solutions.
• Develop governance processes for Jira usage.
• Test and deploy integrations between Atlassian products and other internal tools.
• Perform routine monitoring activities and report on project status.
• Research and implement new approaches for Jira and Confluence usage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Atlassian solutions, including Jira, Jira Service Manager, and Confluence.
• Certified Atlassian Jira Administrator.
• Experience with SAFe Agile Framework; working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Expertise in project management best practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP or CAPM certification.
• Experience with Power BI Reporting.
