About the position

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Jira Product Manager (Systems Administration, Senior Analyst) to support a Federal Government client in Charleston, SC. This role involves comprehensive administration of JIRA for various software applications and projects, focusing on optimizing business processes through effective configuration, maintenance, and management of the Jira instance.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on configuring, managing and maintaining the Jira instance, including creating and maintaining custom fields, workflows, and schemes.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure Jira configuration supports existing business processes.
• Analyze, review, and document current functionality of Jira system configurations and processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Gather requirements for new business processes and implement continuous improvements to the Jira instance.
• Provide training and support to Jira users, including conducting training sessions and creating user guides.
• Analyze complex problems and develop alternate solutions.
• Develop governance processes for Jira usage.
• Devise, test, and deploy integrations between Atlassian products and other internal tool chains.
• Perform routine monitoring activities and report on project status and related tasks.
• Research and implement new approaches for Jira and potential Confluence usage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Atlassian solutions, including Jira, Jira Service Manager, and Confluence.
• Certified Atlassian Jira Administrator.
• Experience with SAFe Agile Framework; working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Expertise in project management best practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP or CAPM certification.
• Experience with Power BI Reporting.
