About the position

The Onboarding and Experience Specialist at Rochester Regional Health is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new team members and transfers within the health system. This role focuses on ensuring a positive onboarding experience, supporting new hires throughout their first year, and fostering a sense of belonging within the organization. The specialist will also handle various administrative tasks related to onboarding and employee transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with new team members and existing employees throughout the onboarding process.
  • Mentor candidates through the onboarding process, communicating next steps and timelines.
  • Communicate candidate status to key stakeholders such as hiring managers and recruiters.
  • Manage all pre-employment background checks required by the company or regulatory authorities.
  • Schedule pre-employment health appointments for new team members.
  • Support new team members through their first year of employment.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive environment for new team members.
  • Document and communicate issues related to new team members' experiences.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relatable experience required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to sense environments and people in need of support.
  • Knowledge of personnel procedures and policies.
  • Detail-oriented and client-focused.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
