About the position

The Assistant Coach for Girls Wrestling at the Middle School level is responsible for performing coaching duties for assigned team members and assisting the Head Coach as directed. This role involves organizing and coordinating various aspects of the wrestling program, ensuring that all coaching methods and rules are adhered to. The position is part-time and runs from January 13, 2025, to March 7, 2025, with a stipend of $1,815.

Responsibilities

  • Perform coaching duties for assigned team members.
  • Assist the Head Coach in organizing and coordinating the wrestling program.
  • Ensure adherence to the rules and coaching methods of the sport.
  • Provide guidance and support to student-athletes during practices and competitions.

Requirements

  • ASEP certification prior to assuming coaching duties (High School only).
  • Criminal history clearance.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of assigned sport, including rules and coaching methods.
  • Age 18 or older.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified in NFHS, Steroids, Heat Illness, and Concussion by the Athletic Director.
  • Training in Abuse and Sexual Conduct Information and Reporting Requirements for School Contractors, Agents, and Volunteers.
  • Workplace Harassment Policy training (required annually by Human Resources).

Benefits

  • Stipend amount of $1,815 for the season.
