The Employment Specialist/Job Coach/Direct Support Professional (ES/JC/DSP) plays a crucial role in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead active and fulfilling lives within their communities. This position focuses on providing direct support, teaching essential skills, and ensuring the well-being of the individuals served. The role includes both part-time and full-time opportunities, with a commitment to ongoing training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Teach, support, and maintain skills in behavior, social, and recreational programs.
• Provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding progress notes, timesheets, and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with other staff and management.
• Provide timely updates to meet state and federal guidelines.
• Complete all required and ongoing training as needed.
• Assist with coordination and execution of job development and placement events for individuals.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals at all times.

Requirements

• Genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass required background checks and clearances (Criminal, FBI, Child Abuse Clearances, etc.).
• Valid Driver's License, vehicle registration, and vehicle insurance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a similar role is a plus but not necessary.
