About the position

The Job Coach position at Social Vocational Services involves teaching individuals with intellectual and acquired disabilities vocational skills in competitive work settings. The role focuses on providing job readiness training and on-the-job support to help clients achieve their vocational and career goals. This position can be either full-time or part-time, and it requires a commitment to assist clients in their learning and development within the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Learn the specific job tasks the clients will be required to perform
• Perform some job tasks during the time clients are in the initial learning phase
• Set-up natural supports at the workplace
• Track and document billable hours
• Educate and assist clients with company policies and procedures
• Participate in clients' planning team to develop goals, objectives and natural supports
• Act as a Mandated Abuse Reporter
• Obtain & maintain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance, clean DMV driving record and pass a job related physical
• Work late weekdays and weekends as needed

Requirements

• Energetic and highly motivated
• Ability to teach vocational skills
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and acquired disabilities
• Must be able to work late weekdays and weekends

Nice-to-haves
