About the position

Social Vocational Services (SVS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals with developmental disabilities for over 41 years. We are currently seeking a dependable and caring Job Coach to join our team. The Job Coach will be responsible for training and supervising clients in Supported Employment, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills to perform their job tasks effectively. This role involves working closely with clients, providing guidance, and facilitating their integration into the workplace. The Job Coach will also be involved in setting up natural supports at the workplace and tracking billable hours for services rendered. Additionally, the Job Coach will educate clients on company policies and procedures, participate in planning teams to develop individual goals and objectives, and act as a mandated abuse reporter. This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Train and supervise clients in Supported Employment individually or in groups.
  • Learn specific job tasks required for clients' roles.
  • Perform job tasks during clients' initial learning phases.
  • Set up natural supports at the workplace to aid client integration.
  • Track and document billable hours for services provided.
  • Educate clients on company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in clients' planning teams to develop goals and objectives.
  • Act as a mandated abuse reporter.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in workforce development.
  • Must obtain and maintain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance.
  • Clean DMV driving record required.
  • Pass a job-related physical examination.
