Responsibilities

  • Prepare, manage, oversee, track, and monitor detailed project budgets.
  • Analyze funding allocations and evaluate independent cost estimates.
  • Review, track, and approve payment requests.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and review of complex project schedules.
  • Utilize scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Read and understand construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders involved in projects.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment to foster communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • At least five years of experience in construction project management.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license or ability to obtain by date of hire.
  • Demonstrated fiscal management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, contract administration, and public contracting laws.
  • Ability to maintain an appropriate driving record for university-related business.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing large scale construction projects for a State facility, College or University.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or BIM software.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Five or more years of project management experience in a lead role.
  • Pursuit of licensure in architecture, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
  • Industry Certifications in building inspection issued by DSA, HCAI, ICC, or CASp.
