About the position

The HR Manager at Moaddel Law Firm will be responsible for managing and implementing HR policies and programs that align with the firm's organizational goals, with a strong focus on equity, inclusion, and employee development. This role involves overseeing various HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of equity and inclusion into HR practices across the organization.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR administration, including recruitment, leave management, performance management, and training.
  • Review applications, interview candidates, manage background checks, and recommend salary offers.
  • Develop, interpret, and distribute HR policies and procedures.
  • Investigate employee relations issues, recommend solutions, and ensure alignment with policies and laws.
  • Coach and advise staff on organizational and employee matters.
  • Implement performance management processes, including creating procedures and coaching staff.
  • Assess staff development needs and provide career development support, including relevant training programs.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and recommend improvements.
  • Manage employee wellness initiatives and recognize employee achievements.
  • Oversee leave and accommodation management.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with workers' compensation programs.
  • Review and enhance benefits and retirement plans to create a more comprehensive program.
  • Provide wage and hour support to management and ensure equity in compensation reviews.
  • Support internal projects and other HR-related initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • SHRM-CP/SCP or HRCI certifications (required).
  • 4-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong knowledge of HR generalist functions.
  • Experience advising management on employee relations, labor law, staffing, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Proficiency in business office applications and HR information systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
