The Job Recruiter at AMIkids plays a crucial role in supporting youth and young adults aged 14-24 in achieving their individualized vocational goals. This position involves active and ongoing job development, community-based outreach, and partnership development aimed at creating sustainable employment opportunities for the youth in our care. The recruiter will be responsible for recruiting individuals, including youth, participants, employers, and community members, to engage in the AMIkids Workforce Development Program, which is designed to provide meaningful employment opportunities. In collaboration with the Career Coordinator, the Job Recruiter will identify placement needs and ensure the best job matches for participants. This includes recruiting businesses to participate in employment initiatives and educating them about AMIkids services and the specific needs of the youth. Establishing long-term relationships with local and national businesses is essential for building ongoing job placement partnerships, and maintaining effective monthly communication with these partners is a key responsibility. The recruiter will develop a continuous pipeline of job opportunities for youth and participants by utilizing various resources such as workforce development agencies, job fairs, and local community meetings. Educating the youth on how to search for relevant job opportunities is also a critical aspect of this role. Understanding job qualifications as defined by employers and ensuring appropriate matches for job placements is vital. The recruiter will follow up on the success of job placements, track progress, and obtain feedback from employers regarding the youth's performance. Additionally, the Job Recruiter will respond promptly to all business development inquiries, monitor and produce monthly reports on placements, satisfaction levels, and business relationships. Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws related to youth employment is mandatory. The recruiter will also be required to attend and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training, as well as CPR and First Aid certification from a nationally recognized organization.
