About the position

The Personal Assistant to the Interior Designer will provide essential support to an interior designer based in Norwalk, CT. This role involves managing various administrative tasks, client communications, and project management, ensuring that the designer can focus on creative aspects while maintaining organization and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage personal and business bill payments
  • Use Studio Design Software to add each new client's details, create new design projects, invoice clients for both time and products, and reconcile vendor payments
  • Open and maintain new designer accounts with various retailers
  • Order and track products, providing regular updates to the designer and clients
  • Ensure the designer is fully apprised of all client information
  • Liaise with clients, retailers, and contractors through professional verbal and email communication
  • Liaise with the bookkeeper and provide simple reports to ensure accurate sales tax payments
  • Assist with various administrative tasks as needed
  • Occasionally visit clients in their homes or vendors at their places of business as required

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Mac laptops and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to problem-solve independently
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Prior experience in a similar role is a plus
