About the position

The position involves performing diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment, specifically focusing on John Deere and competitive products. The role requires participation in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The technician is responsible for ensuring all tools, vehicles, and inventory are in good condition and for completing necessary reports related to work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment.
• Participate in Service Educate Training programs for skill development.
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Keep a clean work area and perform work in an orderly fashion.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations during work assignments.
• Complete all reports and forms required for work assignments.
• Account for all time on a time card and for all materials used.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in performing service repairs.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Proficient knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems for the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly on a daily basis and more on occasion.
• Ability to perform duties in extreme seasonal temperatures.
• Ability to climb and stand for extended periods on big/tall equipment while performing repairs.
• Valid driver's license required for service calls.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
