About the position

The Sales Representative at C & B Operations, LLC is responsible for maintaining and expanding customer relationships, managing sales information, and conducting equipment demonstrations. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, including prospecting and developing new business opportunities within a defined territory, while also providing insights and communication to management regarding customer trends and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships and expand customer pipelines
  • Implement strategies to increase sales and profit by prospecting within the defined territory
  • Create customer-specific proposals based on detailed needs analysis
  • Conduct market research to produce competitive comparisons
  • Develop and maintain expertise on industry trends and best practices
  • Maintain sales management information for all customers in the assigned territory
  • Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment
  • Conduct new equipment field demonstrations
  • Monitor trends in customer's business activities and provide timely communication to management
  • Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and evaluate equipment for trading purposes
  • Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with purchases
  • Attend applicable sales training events/seminars

Requirements

  • At least 3 years prior outside sales experience
  • Experience developing and winning new business in a highly competitive environment
  • Self-driven to actively prospect, cultivate, and close new business opportunities
  • Exceptional communication and sales presentation skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse individuals
  • Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
  • Willingness to travel across the assigned sales territory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Previous sales knowledge and experience with agricultural equipment and outdoor power equipment preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
