About the position

The Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) Sr. Analyst Operations Research position at S4 Inc. involves supporting USSTRATCOM JEMSO missions by providing planning, analysis, spectrum management, and intelligence support. The role requires extensive operational experience and technical expertise to evaluate and analyze electromagnetic spectrum operations, ensuring readiness evaluations and tactical recommendations are effectively communicated.

Responsibilities

  • Make recommendations to service or joint tactics, weapon schools, or publications based on findings of JCER evaluations.
  • Analyze threat data and control receipt and dissemination of foreign intelligence information.
  • Evaluate emerging EW threats and present findings, conclusions, and recommendations based on evaluation results.
  • Conduct tactical, operational, and strategic level research concerning the impact of existing and emerging JEMSO threats to joint operations.
  • Perform JEMSO evaluation planning, analysis, and report writing.
  • Design, develop, and adapt mathematical statistical models and other scientific methods using software like JMP, SAS, EXCEL, MATLAB.
  • Work with SMEs, Analysts, and Military to define data requirements for data collection purposes.
  • Validate the effectiveness of data collection for post-event analysis.
  • Serve as lead author for the analysis portion of evaluation plans and reports.
  • Identify requirements for specialized data analysis software and other tools.
  • Conduct analysis, research, and studies to identify evaluation objectives and recommend alternative courses of action.
  • Develop detailed data collection and data analysis plans for JCER evaluations.
  • Perform detailed analysis of JEMSO objectives tied to Universal Joint Tasks (UJTs) or Mission Essential Tasks (METs).
  • Analyze collected evaluation data and report analysis results in various forms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as mathematics, physics, engineering, or operational research.
  • 12+ years of relevant operational experience.
  • Familiarity with modern data analysis and visualization tools and programming languages such as Python, R, Tableau, Databricks, Plotly, Envision, etc.
  • Understanding of current service capabilities and tactics with knowledge of vulnerabilities in the presence of threat EW.
